Command Structure

Field Marshal - Commander of All German Forces

Mike 'RTM Mike' Conklin

Mike Conklin is the co-founder of RTM which is where his nickname derives from. He has been attending ION games since 2006.

Over  the years, Mike has played for both Axis and Allied armies. He has been  an integral part of both teams, especially the Germans.

Mike's  rise to prominence took a huge leap when he became Company Commander  for Legion. He later took on Base Security and soon enough took on one  of the four roles of Executive Officer (now known as Lt. General).

He fought hard for several years as XO, before becoming the current  General/Field Marshal when Adam 'The Dubs' Green stepped down.

"Looking forward to the future of the German War Machine. See you all on the field!"

Lieutenant General - 352nd Infantry Division

Mike Elward

Mike Elward is a native of Northeast Pennsylvania. He has been playing paintball since 2002 and the Skirmish games since 2006. Although he did take a hiatus from 2009 to 2014.

Guerrilla Co started with a group of 5 members. He and the rest of Guerrilla would alternate between the German and Allied teams each year. Eventually, Mike realized that the German side is clearly superior and stuck with us.

Mike attributes his rise in command completely to Guerrilla Co. For example, at Stalingrad 2016, the 5 original Guerrilla members kept bringing props back to command. These points really added up and greatly contributed to the group winning the AXIS MVP for that year.

After this strong showing, he and Dan Hamilton began Guerrilla Co in earnest. Steadily recruiting all lost souls to the German War Machine's efforts, under the beer flag.

The beloved blue beer flag has become their symbol on the field.  Today, Guerrilla Co as part of the 352nd Inf Division has become a force to be reckoned with at the Skirmish big 3. They are known for their willingness to go into the meat grinder and steadfastness on the field.

One of the things that Mike loves about the 352nd Infantry Division is that the players have become friends from all walks of life and from many different states. Guerrilla Co has members from Maine to Georgia, and as far west as Tennessee and Illinois, though the main body is from the Tristate area.

Colonel - 352nd Infantry Division

Dan Hamilton

Dan is a local to Northeast Pennsylvania who has been playing paintball since 2002, although his first ION was not until 2014. You will find Dan at all of the Skirmish Big 3 games, as well as other scenario games and tournaments around the northeast.

After  assuming the role of Guerrilla Company commander in 2016, Dan, along with current 352nd Infantry Division commander- Mike Elward, built  Guerrilla from the ground up.

Starting with an original five members at the 2016 Stalingrad game, Guerrilla (and its emblematic "Beer Flag") has grown into one of the largest and most recognizable German units at the Skirmish Big 3.

Throughout the years at Skirmish, Guerrilla has been recognized as Most Valuable Team and counted several Most Valuable Players among its ranks. Dan  credits Guerrilla's success to its practical approach to strategy on-field, and laid back, welcoming attitude off-field. In addition to Skirmish,

Dan has played competitively at the Division 3 level in the NXL, OPS, NYPS, and NEPL paintball leagues.

If you are interested in fighting under the Beer Flag as a member of Guerrilla Company, do not hesitate to get in touch with Dan.

Colonel - 709th Infantry Division

John Lake Jr

John started playing paintball at age 7 in 1998. He first attended ION in 2006 but played for the losers - The Allies. By 2016, John had realized  his mistake and switched to Germany. He and his team - Florian's Legion -  joined Mayhem Company the following year.

In  2018, John was promoted to Mayhem's Rear Platoon commander. That same  year, Mayhem was instrumental in achieving a German victory during the  French's Red Wedding.

John was promoted in 2020 to Company Commander 3 of Mayhem. By 2022, he had  been promoted again to his current title of Colonel.

He attributes his fast rise to his leadership within Mayhem. Especially  his current role. He believes this was because of Mayhem's role in yet another German victory where the regiment was awarded Most Valuable Team.
